British Defence Spending at lowest since 1930s

The Conservatives have published data purporting to show that Britain now spends a smaller proportion of her wealth on defence than she did in the turbulent 1930s, and have specifically criticised Government cuts in investment in the RN, according to today's Daily Telegraph (22 January 2007).
