Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Still not sure if the concensus opinion is that it would be an incredible cost-saving move incorporating the three officer training establishments into one coherent whole or a complete and utter waste of time.
    A sensible economic amalgamation?
Or; It would never work with RAF pilots having to be trained alongside RN ones and Army LCT OIC's receiving the same navigational skills as the Gibraltar Flotilla Officers in Command Is there some fundamental difference that escapes me?

  2. Nah; too much history at Dartmouth and Sandhurst.

Anyhow BRNC's been busy empire building recently (taking on DOs cse etc).
