All completely irrelevant. We are discussing a country that couldn't even defend its right to fish the seas by which it is surrounded!

It says a lot to me that such comments are appearing in the Grauniad - for a left-leaning newspaper to be saying the Defence establishment is in crisis then things must be bad. How blind can Government be?
