"Bristol Live reporter Bronwen Weatherby was invited to Rosyth Dockyard in Edinburgh to explore the biggest ship ever built by the British Armed Forces - the HMS Prince of Wales

The UK’s biggest and most powerful ship ever to be built by the armed forces has been affiliated with the City of Bristol.

The HMS Prince of Wales, Britain’s second and largest aircraft carrier, is nearing completion after over a decade of construction.

It will be linked to the city throughout its expected 50-year life of active service in the Royal Navy.

Meaning Bristol will become a base for the ship and its crew and their activities on shore."
