Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. **** doing 12's. 7 and 5s are the way ahead.
  2. You must have been in your pit, it was reported on the 16th Jul!!
  3. lol never even noriced that. haha
  4. I've just got round to putting it on, it made that day a little more interesting
  5. no salvage yet, we had to fill in lots of paperwork tho'. to be honest i'd rather the MOD didn't go for salvage money
  6. Danny 'west country' watches have been in use for years - old sailing ship routines! (used extensively on clipper ships and the like for long haul jobs)
Deffinately a good routine for everybody - more work out of the crew during the day and more sleep at night! (less time on watch gives more sleep??)
Geoff - won't be saying that when you grab a loaded and abandoned oil tanker will you?! Mind you don't expect much from a fishing boat - if it was done under the 'Lloyds Open' it's probably more like it belongs to the lifeboats anyway - you were probably doing the job for a fee - just didn't realise it!
