In 1686 a Pirate ship captained by Joseph Bannister was sunk by the Royal Navy. On board was thought to be a fortune in gold. This book is about the virtually obsessive efforts of two men to find this ship. Written almost like a novel this tells of what the men had to risk to discover this ship and to see if there was indeed any gold on board.

The book has been reviewed with a 4.5 Mr Mushroomhead rating so well worth a read. The review can be read here: Pirate Hunters

Q1 William Maurice, pirate is considered to have been the first English pirate to be Hung, Drawn and Quartered

Q2 The Barbary Coast is in North Africa

Q3 Edward Teach aka Blackbeard, died in battle with the King's troops.
