Easy and quick to enter for a free copy of this new book - what's not to like (see what I did there)

This is a great book and very easy to read. It has a lot crammed in to the pages: former policeman and war hero who served with 51st Highland Division and now a budding newspaper reporter, a beautiful lawyer, gang warfare in Glasgow, Vigilantes, Wee Frees and crooked landed gentry plus, of course, lots of bodies.

Have a go at the competition and have a chance to enjoy a good book from an up and coming author. If you don't win then it will be worth buying it!

Just been chatting to A_G and he says you've all got number two wrong. Better luck next time lads!

  7. Not possible - I was using a website dedicated to the history of the GP. Just following the usual advice - Google is your friend! Or is this a clever ruse to make us think we are wrong . . .? :eek:mfg:

Which reminds me of the old joke - who played for both sides in the 1932 Scottish Cup Final?

    Glasgow Police Pipe band, half-time.

Nice try at dis-information Wits. Strangely enough Q2 is the only one that everyone has got correct so far. So if you feel you have the answer wrong do you want me to change your answer from your current 'guess' ?

In response to the 'Google is wrong' etc I refer you to the rules of the competition:

    1. A-G is not wrong and his say is final
    2. If you feel A-G is wrong please refer to Rule 1

    :D

  10. HA! Telt ye. (Where is the :smug: smilie thing then . . .?) :D

    Busted!

But I had you going Dredd. :D

  12. Not at all - I remained supremely confident throughout (well, maybe just a bit).

It's all down to the luck of the draw now! Many the best man / woman / transgender or simply confused win. :book:

No it's not. Everybody knows it's how much you pay off A_G. You'll have to rob the biscuit tin.

Just a bump to remind you that there is still time to enter and reduce Witsend's chance of winning a copy of this book (as if he had a chance in the first place!).

This is probably the book competition with the most entries - goes to show that it is a popular title. Have a go and take your chances - competition runs until this Sunday.
