    Was he posting on RR for a while, something about his CV rang bells with me?
     
  3. Which part of RN PR issues this stuff? A good news story, granted, but I think we can all think of older people who've joined (and that's not including the Reserves). I know of a still serving Doctor who joined at 50, and deployed on Herrick less than a year later.

    Said it before, and at risk of boring the pleasure bumps off everyone here; I was 45 when I passed out Ral three years ago.

    Now, since nobody can join after 45 (with previous service) I would argue that I might be closer to the title of 'The Oldest Trog'...
