Blackpool Babes Present For the Troops At Xmas!

Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. The media haven't mentioned it but 3 hot babes from Blackpool have recorded some songs especially for the troops away at Christmas this year.

The CD is not for sale anywhere - it has only been sent out to the BFBS radio stations around the world and the idea is that you can request one of the songs and dedicate it to your loved one.

The girls are called RUBY BLUE and the CD is called JUST FOR YOU. The songs to choose from are:

    We Want The Same Thing
    So What?
    Fighter
    I Kissed A Girl
    Show Me Heaven
    Together Again
    I Will Follow Him
    Sisters (Are Doing It)
    Without You
    River Deep Mountain High

And the CDs have been sent to BFBS UK, Chalfont St Peter – plus :
BFBS Cyprus, BFBS Falkland Islands, BFBS Germany, BFBS Gibraltar, BFBS Radio Middle East, BFBS Gurkha Radio, BFBS Canada, BFBS Brunei, BFBS Belize - so get on to BFBS and get them to play 'em!

These Blackpool babes are fantastic! - check out their blog on www.rubyblueblackpool.blogspot.com !

  2. Could this be another spammer wanting free publicity for an unknown group?
How about a DVD of them with their lagging off?

  3. Not spam - absolutely true and no commercial interest involved.

We constantly hear in the media that our troops don't feel that they have the support of the people back home.

We have supported the shoe box gifts for the troops every year and came up with the idea of doing some specially recorded songs for them instead.

The idea is instead of sending loads of stuff out to people on ships and in the desert, we'd send 'em to BFBS so that they can be broadcast to everybody and not just individual recipients.

We've done this for the past 3 years with different artists but once we send the stuff off to BFBS it just seems to disappear into a black hole and we never get any feedback.

Therefore the work and expense that people have put in at this end to put together a tribute for the troops gets completely ignored and the people away from their families at Christmas for whom this gift is aimed don't even get to know about it .....

Write it off as a gimmick if you so wish, but at least by posting the fact on this site, more people know about the gesture that has been made in support of the forces personnel and their families and friends than had it been left to the mainstream media to ignore.

  4. Not heard anything about it on BFBS Cyprus.

I think BFBS play enough shite music as it is without adding to it with this dross.

Agreed mate. Getting naked would be a much better way to show support for HM forces.

  6. How would getting their kit off show support? Think carefully before you answer, and remember the strict laws in sandy places. What may please YOU, may offend others.

Well clearly it wouldn't show support would it. This was just a throw away comment in a light hearted manner. WRT the "strict laws in sandy places", if you're using a MOD intranet server then anything likely to offend will be blocked. If you're not using a service with censorship, then I firmly believe that knowing where the "off" button is located is the best way to avoid getting oneself all upset. As to thinking carefully before I answer, well I'm sorry if my post has offended any contributors to this site, but as we're all (well nearly all) consenting adults, I don't think I've written anything too outrageous. Merry Christmas shipmate, I hope Santa brings you a sense of humour. Oooh, time for a cup of tea cup Mrs. Whitehouse!
