Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Bernard Herrmann was one of the best classical composers of the 20th century, regardless of your emotions. :)

To me this is one the best versions of Pachelbel's Canon ever. Not bad considering the guy playing was 13 when he made this (apparently).

Edited to add: I'm not a total heathen and I do like the more traditional arrangements but this kid is awesome.
  3. Damm beat me to it. :(
  4. Some of my personal favourites (mainly Baroque)

    Handel - Alla hornpipe

Bach - Brandenburgh Concerto No 3

    Clarke - Trumpet Voluntary

Bach - Orchestral suite No 3 (Air on a G string)
