The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Sheerness was a hell of a run ashore, we used to stay there when surveying the Richard Montgomery (Sunken ship full of explosives just outside the harbour).
    This was in the mid 1980's before all day pub opening, there was a boozer call The Mechanics, or as we called it The Maniacs, at 0800 the curtains would be drawn, but go inside and it was full of dockies who had finished the night shift, there is something quite strange about falling out of a boozer rat arsed at 1100.
    That's probably why a 2 day survey used to last a week... :oops:
