Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Didnt see how this was going to work out anyway. civvies and military working together, diffrent pay and conditions, op's manuals etc. would have been a real pot mess. better to have the jobs out there in civ land to retire to.

There are many Military departments - including rotary wing units - that are staffed jointly by service and civilian personnel; the different pay and conditions would not have any bearing on the day-to-day running of the sections, and publications are easily used by all. Sounds like you just have an issue with working with them, with little or no justification...
  3. SP That is very true my bold. But when it came to a shout and the weather and tolerance for engaging Rotars, were in doubt . The FAA SAR, would always oblige ( we couldnt say no )  While the crabs always declined, and the civvys stayed in the hangar
  4. With the MoD nigh on bankrupt, no one saw that one coming eh????????

More to come, chin up keep smiling, if you have a job just hang onto it!!!!
  5. Dont have an issue working with anyone.just think it's best to leave well enough alone. and er..i am one of 'them'. :salute:
