    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sea Trial Manager within our Surface Ships business unit at our Clyde, Glasgow site.  The primary purpose of this role is, to be responsible for the management of sea trials in the new build ship sector (warships), including advising, planning, programming and delivery.
    They will also be responsible for steering all aspects of governance in respect of working at sea and in particular the Sea Trials Manager will be responsible for the completion of the Certificate of Sea Worthiness on behalf of the Project Chief Engineer.  The role requires the individual to have excellent inter-personal skills to ensure effective communications across a multitude of stakeholders.
    As a Sea Trial Manager your main responsibilities will involve: 
    Preparing vessels and resources for sea
    Managing and leading activities at sea
    Advising and influencing stakeholders at sea
    Collaborative working
    Facilitation of stakeholders
    Liaising with maritime authorities
    Customer Relations
    As a Sea Trial Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include: 
    Considerable maritime experience at management level
    Relevant maritime training gained in the Merchant Navy, Royal Navy or ship build company
    Knowledge of platform and combat systems sea trials and maritime legislation
    Engineering or Business degree with appropriate Institution membership or equivalent Experience in budget preparation, bids and control
