im 16 an thinkin bout join the marines but i was wondering does having asthma not allow u to join the marines even if u never have had an asthma attack or anything.

cheers in advance for any replies!!!
  2. If you've never had an asthma attack how can you have asthma?

Think you need a chat with your GP - you may have had "asthma" in childhood. 90% of childhood "asthmatics" grow out of the condition by the age of 12. Mainly because it's not asthma - it's wheeze which is caused by inflammation in the lungs due to infection. It sounds like asthma and is treated like asthma, but it isn't asthma. As you grow up the lungs get bigger so the same amount of inflammation doesn't cause wheeze any more. You may have had this, not actually asthma.

When's the last time you used your blue inhaler?
