I've read this book twice and it is fantastic. For those who have never seen front line service, this will explain why those that have are like they are (That is not meant as a dig. I lent my copy to my Dad as i could never explain my feelings on war to him. He understands a bit more now). A definate must read in my opinion.

Excellent review, Seaweed. I thought the book was brilliant and hugely informative. A recommended read for anyone who wants to understand what it is like to fight a modern war. As I have never been to the front line and am probably never likely to be, this book opened my eyes as to what it is really like. Of course, it is only one man's biased opinion, but that does not detract from the fact that it is still informative. I will probably never forget reading his description of how close he came to accidentally killing an entire family.
