April Pension Changes

  1. As you may be aware, the government is changing the rules surrounding "dipping into" your pension pot from April this year. As I understand it, you can take out varying amounts of your pension pot before you retire, obviously reducing your actual pension payments. What I want to know is will this apply to military pensions? Why I ask is because I only served for a dog watch, and my pension as a monthly pension is virtually worthless, however, it would be more useful as a lump sum should I be able to draw on it.

  2. Sorry to have to tell you that the changes do not relate to public sector schemes.
  3. Cheers Vauxhall, didn't think it would but thought I'd ask anyway.
