April Pension Changes

As you may be aware, the government is changing the rules surrounding "dipping into" your pension pot from April this year. As I understand it, you can take out varying amounts of your pension pot before you retire, obviously reducing your actual pension payments. What I want to know is will this apply to military pensions? Why I ask is because I only served for a dog watch, and my pension as a monthly pension is virtually worthless, however, it would be more useful as a lump sum should I be able to draw on it.
