Anyone know anything about this company?

Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Have recently been offered work with a courier firm on a self employed basis, they are called Logistic Link.

Now the web site all seems above board, all contact details, FAQs etc etc.

However they are asking for an upfront payment of £59.90 for the initial four month period.

Also, there does not seem to be any guarantee of work.

This has of course triggered the usual alarms re: rip off scams. :?

Does anyone know anything about this company? Are they legit?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Apologies for a post that isn't 'kind of rough and horrible'. :D

  2. Of course if you pay the money and your suspicions are proved to be justified it may well become rough and horrible.

Many courier delivery companies are franchise operations so whilst the main website looks good and clossy and it is a pukka well run company the local frachisee can be a shark and charlatan.

What is the up front cash for?

Have you asked what level of workload you can expect and importantly if there is no guarantee of work are you allowed to work for any other comapny.

    Good luck

    Peter

    No problem shakey!

  7. Try the Trading Standards Officer at the local council, failing that try the Dept Trade & Industry (Tel 020 7215 5000) - these companies are supposed to be registered.
