Ah now, might be in with some luck as the request for the paperwork was resent yesterday to the line manager of the Army medical records place by a very patient CA from my AFCO. So fingers crossed this will be the lucky one

Hoping to hear back soon and have some forward motion on the application. Forgotten how long the ETME (SM) wait is but after this hell I'v had.....it's gotta be worth it

Mainly I've always just loved the idea of submarines and the fact that for years they were considered similar to pirates

i have just been told i should be at raleigh i the next 6 -8 months good news for me as my original waiting time would have got me in feb 2012 meaning i would have had a 2 year wait

But also you need to look at those people who are older i.e. 35 when applied for example with the upper age limit and waiting time those people can't join because by the time they get in they will be over the age limit.

I agree with you SC I can't believe they'd do it on the RT scores, but if they do happy days (I think :s) Anyhow the change to the upper age limit for engineering trades should shorten waiting times a little you'd have thought?

There is apparently a practical reason for the age limit lowering according to my CA. He did explain it but I was stuck making phone calls to JPA for the rest of that day to find my old med records and dealing with civil servant type people ..... causes amnesia.
