Any Advice

I am looking for any advice. I am currently an armourer in the REME and am totally threaders with life in a green suit, but don't want to leave the Armed Forces - so I am thinking about transferring to either MESM or WESM. I've been in the Army for 10 yrs now and need a change, any advice would be great ....... cheers

Your first port of call should be your local RN careers office. I know you're already in the services but they will still sit down and talk through options with you. Some of the guys on here will give you the picture on the MESM and WESM branches but you should be aiming for a direct transfer (if the rules permit it) to the RN. That way you won't lose time in the service, pension, etc.

Definately looking to transfer straight across and also have been to the local careers office ... they have now given me the phone number of a WO in Portsmouth. Really just looking for an insight into the branches ie would people recommend it.
