Stopped having anything to do with PayPal after then denying any responsibility after some Polish tosser emptying my account!!!

Long story short, Police fraud department got involved thanks to Barclay Card, Fraud people involved Interpol and the tosser was arrested and prosecuted. Ended up doing time in one of his country's jails!!

PayPal, waste of space. Cannot see the point of a middle man! Me - Credit Card company. That'll do nicely!!

But why did you permit some "Polish Tosser" to get the better of you? You are suggesting Paypal to be at fault when, perhaps, you permitted yourself to be taken in.
I buy on line using PayPal. They have long had an honest businesslike relationship with me and I with them.
If they detect any jiggerypokery they take my side and protect me immediately. They refund any money from dodgy goods I might have been fooled into buying.

Wife got a scam DVLA text this morning. Telling her she was due a refund on her car tax
She hasn't got a car and a swift check of the gov.uk site shows that they never send texts.
Delete and block accomplished.

So you are familiar with my case then!! Didn't know you worked for either the Fraud Department or Interpol.
For your info. My data was cloned from a high street outlet by one of their unscrupulous employees who then passed the info on. Sadly, they failed to include me in their little scam.
The 'tosser', then used my cloned data to buy a shitload of hi end mobile phones using pay pal. The next morning I receive a phone from my credit card company asking me if I had made the purchases as they had flagged it up as fraud.
I contacted PayPal immediately who said they bore no responsibility. Not what I want from a so called secure on line bank. Luckily I received sound advice from my credit card company.
And you sir are nothing but the bellend @Alfacharlie says you are.
I know fine well what PayPal profess to do for you. But when push came to shove they did not.
So if you're happy with them - good. But should you ever be the recipient of such an event. I'm sure your loyalties may change. Or maybe only after consulting your RNA colleagues over a noggin.
Fukcin armchair wanker!!! Edited to addd the **** out word rhymed with 'anchor'.

My local SCC Unit is finishing off their new HQ and needed a funding boost via the Just Giving page. Tried using my debit card, would not accept for some reason (worked when I bought a book immediately afterwards though) BUT there was a new function where you could do a bank transfer so used that. Needed the card reader for code to go through, so knew it was kosher. Good drills.

If you used a credit card for a purchase that failed they are bound by statute to recompense you which they did..

Obviously, my CC did NOT fail as the scumbag raped it!
PayPal, did nothing. It was my Credit Card who advised me, refunded the monies to my account. Re-issued a new card. (IAW the CC Act). They, Barclaycard acted brilliantly throughout.
Paypal advertise they are safe and secure and look after your transactions. They did absolutely nothing!!! Why did they not notice a buyer using a .PL email making the purchases? If they are not set up to monitor your purchases they should not be operating as a on-line bank.
