not so oppo!!! LT. SKRODZKI, Zbigniew K. Ejected three times. Twice from a Scimitar and finally from a Hunter....

Was that Lt "Lucky" Skrodzki, then..?
:p Maybe times have changed since the '60s - or maybe (if i recall correct) the reason was that 2 ejections during training didn't warrant further investment... or maybe it was just an excuse for being a s*it pilot trainee and getting 'removed from course'

haha cheers for the tips chaps...

my current work perks are pretty tidy, I work at Brands Hatch and often get out on track, got to BSB, BTCC for free... weekends with grid girls is always a favourite

my main interest to join the navy really is that i want something else from life... no cliche intended
my current work life isnt too bad as i enjoy my job but want a bit more

Ello ello, 3 days at Yeov.... Is that along the lines of an Acquaint Course or something? Pray tell how ya swung that one pretty please?? :)

The ACLO has access to places on various Gliding/Powered Flight Camps;get in touch with your ACLO and see whether there is anything going.

There is another source of places, the Fleet Air Arm Officers' Association, but you can't be over 19 for that.

Alas Soleil, I'm just a little too old and wrinkly for that so. I have a brilliant CA at my AFCO so I'll see what I can muscle out of him!!
On an aside, been gifted a skydive, which I'm really looking forward to. Hope to raise money for Help for Heroes whilst I'm at it! :)
However, it was pointed out by my rather nervously dispossessed grandmother that should I break a leg etc, on landing, that it could throw a rather large spanner in the intricate works of my application.... Should I share her concern? :/

If you prang something, that could delay your joining, depending on what it is; if you were to actually fracture a bone, that could have a significant effect. It might be best saved until when you know how things look regarding your start at BRNC.

Suggest the 'gifted skydive' is a tandem jump..? If so, you'll be safe as houses! If you do the charity thing, get it on JustGiving and I'll bung you a quid or 2 :)

Yah, tandem, I'd have loved to go solo! But hey, gift horses and mouths and all. JustGiving, will check it out now in a minute, thanks for the tip RN, and advice, Soleil!

Pass rates for FATs have gone down 2 out of 12 passed on mine, 0 out of 6 passed on the one before it's a tough game. Recently returned from Cranwell one guy had tried all the services and no luck
