Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Who putting the petrol in the Greek ships?
  2. Bunch of hairy greasers were seen siphoning at Portsmouth.

Sent via Heliograph from the Jebel Birkenhead
  3. These had full tanks when they were sold 12 years ago:

    Perhaps they've been driven economically.
  4. I'm sure 1SL can pull some strings. :angel12:

  5. Lusty's kicking out some smoke on those photos. I know she's knocking on a bit but is that normal?
  6. The smoke looks fairly "white". If I remember my gas turbine theory correctly, it usually indicates more air than fuel and the unburnt fuel leaves the jet pipe as vapour.
  7. You sure it's not because they've found a new pope onboard?

  8. Good point; could be. I do remember a time when we had ships powered by Parsons.
