Top 5 songs:

Dire Straits - Private Investigations. Bit cheesy and not my favourite now, but I have liked it for so much for so long now, that it has to be numero uno.
ACDC - Hells Bells. Likewise.
Bon Jovi - Dead or Alive - same again.
U2 - With or WithoutnYou. And again.
Lennon - Imagine

Album... Mmmm...

U2 The Joshua Tree. It's the only one I can think of off the top of my head (except Best ofs) where I can listen to 80% of it with no urge to skip a track.

all of these are currently on my cars mp3 hard drive.
Now there's posh, Boyo.

Didn't know Hillman Imps had MP3 players.

Whatabout the "Skate Tapes" that EVERY matelot was issued with?

Fleetwood Mac- Rumours.
Meatloaf- Bat out of Hell.
Dire Straits- Brothers In Arms
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon

Any self-respecting matelot will have been issued with them in "Thomsun" tape format (play once, then self-destruct) bought for a quid in the Gulf states.

Whilst not necessarily a fan of them, they were always available in great profusion.

My Favourite albums are all Muse, so I haven't bothered listing them individually as none of my fellow old duffers will have heard of them. Went to see them at MEN Arena last November- superb.

Oh and there's always these:

English Rose-The Jam Apologies about the video but it's the only original version I could find -it's a puppet!
Black boys on mopeds- Sinead O'Connor Politically sensitive but she was at her best then so I don't care!
Whole lotta Rosie
War Pigs
While my guitar gently weeps-Jeff Healey Yes he's playing like a blind man because he is!

Yes I know I cheated, got to have some perks.

PS Toejam- feel free to post some crap, I mean modern stuff, I have to listen to it all night so I may as well know some names for it :thumright:

Did I mention anything by Steve Vai

Thomsun Originals, with a free case if you bought 10? The advent of the MP3 has killed off the grat issue album, as it is no longer neccesary to play the same album over and over again on the mess stereo.
I have to agree with NS about Muse being the best band around at the mo. Black holes is easily the best driving album ever. Unless its really sunny. Then its Legend by Bob Marley.
BTW, the new Radiohead album is worth a listen for 45p, though I supect you need to listen to it a few times before it really grows on you.

I don't think you can open a can of worms with music. Others can rubbish your taste in beer, women and clothes but not music.

Francois Hardy - All over the world.

Ray Conniff - Swan Lake Theme

Lynsey de Paul - Wont Somebody Dance With Me

Roger Whittaker - The Last Farewell - (Pure English patriotism)

Jody Miller - Home Of The Brave
