    My late father was captain of HMS Providence and we have the ship's bell.
  2. His final comment says it all really.

    "I think our country's had it, and by that I mean the whole of Great Britain. With over 1000 guys in the Association, I asked the question: would you have worn a uniform between 1939 and 1945 if you'd known the country would end up the way it is today? 100 per cent said they would not. That's a very sad reflection."
