As nice as asleep test would be it does not test your fitness that well.

  3. Good to see that RN occifer's standards remain high! It is important they can sleep anywhere!

If you're fit you should be able to transfer that fitness to the 2.4km.

  5. Ipad was too smart... Apologies.

I am aware it will of course still test me, but I was curious as to why they changed?

Does it really matter what the reason is?

  7. No, but I was simply curious.

More a little frustrated I thought.

You went wrong when you said "so".

  11. The tape recorder ran out of batteries, and the form to change the bleep test to the 2.4k run requires a single signature from the AIB board secretary; new batteries takes 1* approval from Whale Island and the logs chain should deliver them in 6 to 8 months.

  12. If you 've been training for the beep test then you'll do well at the 2.4km. Although, tell me what kind of training you have been doing that prepares you for the beep test more than the 2.4km run?

  13. So it's hard life isn't it?

So, does anybody else feel they're being patronised by someone who thinks they're intellectually superior when they start a sentence with the word 'so'?

  15. So not like sure. I think 'so' has become a pointless introduction to a comment like 'like' has become a pointless replacement for 'said', 'thought', 'approximately' and it would appear some thousand or so other words.

    Translation: Like no.

  16. No.

    Damn 10 character rule!

  17. Most probably easier to have you running around the Sultan Barracks rather than being escorted to the Gym via a coach. Try not to fall in the drink either, as you'll be doing the fitness test right after your teamwork practice - you don't want to be running in wet hi-tecs.

  18. The bleep test is harder than the 2.4km run imo. Just dig in and get on with it.

If you've got a decent level of fitness you'll breeze it.

  19. Have to agree, bleep test is all in the mind, the 2.4km run is all about cardio fitness imo.

  20. I ****in' hate the bleep test. I just don't turn round quickly. Like an oil tanker. If it was done in a circuit of four posts instead of running between just two, it'd be so much easier.
