Age limit for submarine warfare officer

Good evening,

I am just shy of my 30th birthday and considering a career change. I have a degree but it is not of the dental/medical/engineering type. I was under the impression that Royal Navy officers should be between the age of 17-29. The role profile for submarine warfare officer has the age eligibility between 17-39, is this a typo or only under very special circumstances? I ask because after quite a lot of research joining the Royal Navy as an officer is becoming increasingly appealing.
Many thanks for your assistance

Have you asked at a recruiting office. This is an unofficial forum.
You can't beat asking at the correct place to get the right answers!!!

I haven’t, but I will. It was a 23:35hr question that I thought someone might have come across before and would be able to give a quick answer to, however everyone was asleep!!

Best go to the folk who can give you best advice for the info you specifically require. If they don't know - ask them to get the answer. They have the contacts and access to all recruiting info.

Any other advice, best iron etc. This is the place. Loads of help in that area. So many iron specialists on here.

What is your degree in?
An abundance of Mickey Mouse degrees raises eyebrows Armed Forces-wise.
What is your degree subject?
