In view of the hundreds of thousands of ANA and ANP personnel trained by and operating with hundreds of thousands of US, UK and other coalition personnel during the past 10 years, this was still a relatively rare though particularly horrific incident.
I heard that from some pundit on the news, our people especially those at the sharp end have enough to contend with without the worry that an ANA soldier or Afghan policeman might turn on them, I have no doubt that constantly looking over your shoulder adds dramatically to the stress levels they are already under, once is once too often.
