Advice!!

I got my intake date for December the 7th for HMS Raleigh and I know it’s a while away but I’m really nervous . I recently got in contact AFCO and he said that hopefully PRNCS will resume and I’ll do a week at HMS Collingwood for my Final Entry Brief but can anyone give me advice on how to prepare or what to know before I get there . This is all new to me and I understand my grammar isn’t up to standards but can anyone give me advice or help me please I would appreciate it very much!!

Somethings have never changed in over 50 years
I joined the RN in 1963 and guess what?
I was nervous.
Don't worry too much about your grammar, you have passed the entrance exam so your English may be not perfect but you have passed.
When you join put ALL your effort into doing as well as you can to make sure that you pass both part 1 training and part 2.
Best of luck

Now my parting shot.
The RN gives every sailor an annual education grant.
Use it
I always say that once you have joined then start preparing educationally for leaving.
It could be a few years or it may be many., but at some time you will have to dip your toe back in civie waters.
Be well prepared for it

I think that the best piece of advice for someone in your situation is to make sure that your fitness doesn't slip.

There have been occasions in the past where some candidates haven't kept up the exercise routines which enabled them to pass the PJFT and it's caused them real problems, so make sure that you maintain your weight and keep fit.

You might find this little batch of RN Training Videos interesting - there are 7 in total in the set.

Hi Chorzxx the fitness test is measured at 1.5 Miles or 2.4 KM (both the same distance just depends how you are used to measuring your distances)

Sorry to ask - but what sort of iron is that? :p
