Administrative Support Services Manager
Location: Colchester, Essex
Salary: £28-30k pa

Primary Purpose
To effectively and efficiently manage the Group’s Administrative Support Service providing: first class administrative services; project coordination and management support, enabling achievement of business objectives.
To work cross functionally with technical functions and the finance department to enable achievement of business objectives.

This role is characterised by:
· Accountable for the management and delivery of the function, its services and products to meet client deliverables in regard to established standards and delivery of KPI’s/ SLAs;
· Working across teams to drive achievement of business objectives and process improvement;
· Accountable for quality assurance of the Group’s products and services enabling high levels of customer satisfaction, repeat work and minimising complaints;
· The use of IT (MS Exchange and MS Office) to enable the preparation of informative: MI; products and reports in a variety of formats, enabling the delivery of first class products and services both externally and internally.

Working as part of the LPG Management team and reporting to the HR Director; specific duties include, but are not limited to:
· Daily management of the OCA support services including close working with technical team to ensure service protection and achievement of SLA’s;
· Daily management of the project coordination of all LPL projects to minimise slippage and errors;
· Identification, design and implementation of business improvement processes though maximising IT solutions to enable improved efficiency and error minimisation;
· Identification and preparation of relevant MI in a variety of formats to enable transparency across the business of key business drivers;
· Significant national travel attending external meetings across the country, to progress specific business objectives with: customers; stakeholders; partners; contractors; and suppliers;
· Provision of an appropriate support service for the BDM, enabling effective end to end marketing and sales to enable achievement of defined sales targets;
· Effective performance management across the administrative services enabling employee development and appropriate employee retention levels;
· Performing, as directed, other such duties from time to time to meet the needs of the department and business.

· Group Resourcing coordinator.
· OCA Project co-ordinator and administrative employees.
· LPL Project co-ordination and administrative employees.

· Achievement of OCA SLA and revenue targets.
· Achievement of defined LPL project milestones and disciplines.
· Specific and defined MI outputs.
· Client satisfaction levels.



· Degree qualified or demonstrable industry experience.​
· Project management qualification (Prince 2).​
· Post Grad Qualification.​


· Demonstrable management experience with accountability for the delivery of an Administrative Support Function, its services and products.​
· Extensive Line Management and cross function working experience.​
· Project Management coordination of large and multiple projects.​
· Demonstrable achievement of and exceeding KPI’s and SLA’s.​
· Effective design, delivery and implementation of process and service improvement.​
· Working in an industry which ‘sells’ expertise.​
· Working with both private and public sector clients.​
· Working within an arboricultural or environmental related business.​
· Reporting directly to Board Members.​

Skills and

· Highly competent at taking instruction from fee earners or senior managers and delivering to an agreed programme.​
· Knowledge and experience of the principles of end to end sales and marketing.​
· Extensive experience of using of project management disciplines.​
· Effective use of performance management processes to achieve targets through others.​
· Excellent personal effectiveness skills and ability to meet deadlines.​
· Highly developed problem-solving skills.​
· Highly competent in preparing Management Information (M)I in a variety of formats.​
· Highly competent in the use of MS Exchange and MS Office, especially Excel.​
· Excellent report writing ability and first rate command of English language.​
· Manipulation of bespoke databases for the provision of requested management information.​
