  1. Hey guys

Just wanted to clarify what happens during and after phase 2 training accommodation wise. I used the search but it was dated like 5 years ago.

    What are the accommodation arrangements?

After phase 2 and you have completed all training can we then get our own apartment and stay there until deployment or whats the deal?

    cheers Mike

  2. Apartment! they are going to love you in the accom office!

Its a cabin and may have more than one occupant even It is meant for one!

  3. I believe he meant that once he's finished training can he go RA.

  4. From what I saw of MWS about 2 years ago, I doubt very much you can live ashore in Phase 2, although this may change depending on how long your course is.

  5. No living ashore in Phase 2 I'm afraid.

  6. Phase two is mostly six man messes.

Last term I heard 8 in some messes. Raleigh is pretty toppers right now.

Just the thoughts of a blonde ex wren

  8. Yeah, I left there a couple of months ago and it was still six. There was talk that it might have to go to eight as there are two 'spare' beds in each room. However there aren't any spare cupboards or lockers.

  9. It's OK the Wannabesubmariners will "hot bunk" to get them acclimatised for life at sea.

  15. As far as I am concerned anyone serving in the RN deserves decent accomodation ashore.
It's also good to see that living spaces onboard are greatly improved.
Good luck to the young matelots in todays RN
