The 2.4k run, what the fcuk is that all about? is it not the mile and a half anymore, has the labour party finally turned servicemen into happy little Europeans, when did this change? :?

Well, when Jack has a run ashore in the UK, there is not much chance of him having a run in with our non existant Police, however, when he has a run ashore abroad, he will probably have a run in with the local Police.

Now, being as how these foreign heathens use Kilometers, it's important that Jack gets into the mindset of thinking 'how many more Kms till I get back to the ship and safety' when doing a runner.
