A draft chit to Japan

Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. It was the five weeks at sea doing nothing. Surrounded by wives , the older with their teenage daughters Wren stenographers off to be the Captains PA at Terror or to serve the Commodore Hong Kong. Some drab looking Wrafs And nurses of all three services.

Drafted to Commonwealth at Kure or Ladybird (later Tyne) at Sasebo the delights of Japanese subservient female teenagehood awaited. Ladybird was a floating Yangste River Boat and too small to accommodate us all .
We enyoyed the luxury of the USN Base and open arms and whatever ashore.
    Paid for bliss.
