Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Fair play to the fella. I have got to question the reenlistment methods of the USMC. No offence but this guy could'nt have been from any other nation!

  2. Good Lad..............only americans though.....lol. I wish him a speedy recovery the USMC obviously needs him and more like him.

  3. actually if you read the article, he requested the swearing in before they medevaced him.

  4. since both of youse guys missed it, i'll paste the appropriate parts:

"Still, the naturalized U.S. citizen, who was born in Hong Kong of British parents, said he was eager to get back to his squad in the 3rd Battalion, 1st Regiment. He's thinking of applying to become an officer."

  5. All the best to the fella , speedy recovery , have to wonder though why he wants to do a 4th tour , he has done more than his fair share , married as well , I am in no way criticising him , nothing but admiration for him , :salut: :salut:

  6. Good effort that man. Jarhead would your Corps be interested in Spartan he's seen 'Jarhead' the movie and with his Brap..Brap skills and Hoorah attitude he'd fit right in. :rambo: :w00t: :thumright:

  10. i can see it now:

"GET OFF MY BUS! OKAY, WHO JUST SHIT THEMSELVES?"

  11. How many of us could learn a little something from this fellow.

    SF

  12. Probably all of us "Silver" , does make you think doesn't it ,

  13. It does. Problem is that too many have too much to learn. Nothing like a story like that to sober us up. Hope his recovery is swift and complete.

  14. The difference here guys is, this "Naturalised" American has been taught to love and respect his adopted country....................Hoorah or not!
Good on him, speedy recovery old son.

  15. I bet his recovery is swift and complete because...

''Once in the U.S., he went through a number of air bases before arriving two weeks ago at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego's Balboa Park.''

What do our guys get when they come back. Another sad story.

Good luck to him and he deserves every penny (cent?) of his 41 grand.

  16. Semper fi.

  17. You lot have been drinking too much Kool Aid - bloke gets his head blown to bits and then asks to re-enlist before getting medevaced?

Should keep the daft bastard in the hospital permanantly - hopefully the mental wing!

And as for the US military hospital system - you muppets obviously havent been keeping up to date with the scandals then?

Thought not - MORE KOOL AID FOR THE IDIOTS PLEASE! The article about sums up US marines and the US in general.

This phrase in the article worries me

"Master Sgt. William Canfield, a career retention specialist,"

  19. No Slacky, us Muppets have not been keeping up with the scandals over there, FFS we`ve got enough of our own to worry about. What makes you so angry about the septics? Did one shag your girlfriend? Tosser.
