889 Squadron Crest

Sorry have been unable to find the crest for this squadron which had an extremely short life.

However these may interest you:

Agree @slim, very little found on the net. As it was a squadron apparently formed in WW2 and disbanded in WW2 info is scarce if nearly non existent.

I am beginning to think that there may not be a Sqdn Crest.
Looks like Sqdns were formed and disbanded in rapid succession.
Is it a modern thing that we now have a parent sqdn like 702 and 815 used to be for Lynx.
All aircraft belonged to the sqdn and when embarked became Ships Flts.
As in HMS Manchester Ships Flt. 815 Sqdn.

Thanks everybody. Seems a pity the squadron and its people have slipped through the cracks. Its life may have been short but for that time, its members thought it worth fighting and, if necessary, dying for.

Squadrons were formed in 1982 then disbanded almost immediately the action had ended. It's all part of war I guess. More so in the 40's when the war was global.
