  7. Briggy you can still get the rum one, I of course am particular to it.
Does anyone remember the Nux bar in the '70's bit like picnic?
And I had an Afro whilst in the Andrew. Cut hair short and tight perm. Once ashore into the bog at the traff, home and use the Afro comb.
It kept the Patrol at bay as they were never certain. :D

I remember Aztec, though I think they changed the name to something else. Dont' remember Old Jamaica but sounds nice.

  9. Old Jamaica was lovely and I see that Rummy has said its still to be found, although I have not seen it in ages. Will have to conduct another 'Thimblehunt'.

  12. I was kinda young (born in 73) but some of memories of life in Stonehouse in the 70s:-

    White dog shit
    Playing kiss-chase in the yards
"Nutty" bars (fudge covered in peanuts)
    Pacers - "now with stripes"
    KP Outer Spacers
People with one big shoe (why where there so many people with one leg slighter longer than the other?)
Finding johnny-bag rings and posting them through letter boxes
    Finding porn in bushes
    Action Man
Drunken sailors in my flat on a Saturday afternoon after the Queens Arms kicked out
Sailing out with the Eagle to the breakers on a PAS boat when I was 5 (anchor-faced little cnut I was)
Buying fags for my mum - "20 Peter Stuyvesant, mister"
    Fighting with the Smithy kids
Being slightly scared of the man in Flat 59G - definately a paedo in todays money
Desperately wanting a Chopper but getting a Strika instead

  13. The 70s' brought us some odd TV shows...

  17. Ha ha, big Gary!! "Wanna be in my gang, my gang, my gang?"

    Yes please!

  18. OMG, I was hooked on those as a kid. My all time favourite chocolate bar, closely followed by the Cabana.

  19. Love Thy Neighbour. The most un-pc show you could ever wish to see. I seem to remember EVERYONE thought it was funny in the 70s, I wonder what we would think now watching an episode again.....?

  20. It was available at the Cadbury shop at Cadbury World when I visited there earlier this year. T'was not a favourite of mine so I didn't buy any.... :?
