Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Done 5 years man time from 1996 to 2001, and now looking to join the reserves. I'm assuming the pension will continue but with several different versions was wondering if anybody knows how it will enhance or alter the preserved pension.

  3. Because the gap between 2001 and 2015 is more than 5 years and pensionable service in the PTVR will start to build up from you date of joining the PTVR or 1 April 2015 whichever is earlier. In a nutshell, what you have preserved in AFPS 75 will stand alone and you will build up an AFPS 15 entitlement for service after 1 April 2015.

  4. That's straight forward enough, thanks a lot.
