  1. My client a multi national multi discipline service provider are now seeking 2 Analysts to join them on a contract in USA for Network Accreditation for NATO
     
    The contract is due to start April 2009 and is due to run until December 2009 with possible four, one year extensions.
     
    You will be primarily based in Norfolk Virginia, but travel may be required of up to one week both within and outside NATO Alliance member national boundaries.
     
    Overview of the roles:-
     
    Analysts 1
    Goal 1: Re-certify the existing architecture
    ·        Objective 1 Document the existing infrastructure and interconnections (Network Diagrams, SISRS. Local ATO)
    ·        Objective 2 Ensure the HQ’s CIS Accreditation Database is correct and up to date
    ·        Part 2: ACT-SACT-09-05r
    ·        Objective 3 Provide a roadmap for accrediting the existing HQ SACT networks and systems architecture
    Goal 2: Re-certify interconnections and services connected through NCNF
    ·        Objective 1 Meet with the national and NATO Security Accreditation and Operating Authorities responsible for the external CIS interconnections with HQ SACT CIS to ensure their relevant security documentation is accurate and up to date.
    ·        Objective 2 Ensure updated security documentations are on file and formal approval is available from local SAA and appropriate NATO SAA.
    Goal 3: Conduct post-accreditation verification of accredited entities
    ·        Objective 1 Plan and schedule with appropriate security Accreditation and Operating Authorities post-accreditation verification inspections for 2009.
    ·        Objective 2 Conduct post-accreditation verification inspections of NATO CIS installations in the local area such as: Norfolk, US JFCOM, Ft. Detrick, Ft. Meade, Ft. Story
    ·        Objective 3 Conduct post-accreditation verification inspections of NATO CIS installations in North America: Ottawa, San Diego
    Other security related support activities
    ·        Assist the CIAO in the execution and planning efforts for HQ SACT internal and external CIS security inspections and Audits.
    ·        In the absence of CIAO and designated representative, execute on behalf of NATO Accreditor, perform the duties as Security Accreditation Manager, Validate and ensure NATO security posture is implemented and adhered to with Defence in Depth, industry core concepts and security best practices; ensuring all NATO systems accredited are covered with best efforts to secure the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability (CIA) of NATO data.
    ·        Participate and support the NATO Risk Management Committee (Quarterly).
    ·        Participate and support the NCNF Configuration Control Board, as required (Monthly).
    ·        Present monthly status (to CIAO/Cyber Defence Operations Officer) update and report (hardcopy, in COTR defined format).
    ·        Assist the CIAO in governing and overseeing HQ SACT computer network security planning stages for operational and experimental CIS projects.
    ·        Produce verification reports at the conclusion of each verification visit and or accreditation process (hardcopy, in COTR defined format).
    ·        Participate as the ACT Office of Security representative for the NATO Security Accreditation Board (NSAB). Assist the Board chairman in reviewing multiple Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation capability projects for correct security documentation development. Review and edit Security Accreditation Plans, System Security Requirement Statements all in the absence of the Cyber Defence Operations Officer.
    ·        Analyze systems network architecture diagrams for compliance to NATO standards and policy on securing and interconnecting NATO networks and classified systems.
    ·        Serve as the information assurance subject-matter expert for the security verification team in the absence of the Cyber Defence Operations Officer.
    ·        Perform duties in the areas of Risk Management, ensuring HQ SACT CIS initiatives and new programs are developed with the incorporation of security best practices, NATO standards, policies and base guidelines.
    ·        Participate and support the NATO Risk Security Risk Assessment Group.
    ·        Execute duties on behalf of the Cyber Defence Officer in multiple daily and weekly CIS project meetings, give security input, consultation and recommendations pertaining to the sustainment of CIS IA security assurance and risk management.
    ·        Provide end-of-work report in December 2009 (hardcopy, in COTR defined format).
     
    Analyst 2
    Goal 4: Coordinate the operations of the AOS Technical Centre
    ·        Objective 1: Configure and install test equipment in lab
    ·        Objective 2:Install, Operate and Maintain the monitoring of Firewall and IDS appliances on the HQ SACT networks
    ·        Objective 3: Train and advise ACT of Security (AOS) staff on best practice of monitoring tools (IDS, Bluecoat)
    ·        Objective 4: Perform application verification scanning/testing (using WatchFire) and product an executive summary for CIAO or designated representative.
    ·        Objective 5: Assist in the investigation of a network security incident.
    Other security related support activities
    ·        Participate and support the HQ SACT Risk Management Committee (Quarterly).
    ·        Participate and support the NCNF Configuration Control Board, as required (Monthly).
    ·        Present monthly status (to CIAO/Cyber Defence Operations Officer) update and report (hardcopy, in COTR defined format).

    ·        Execute duties on behalf of the Cyber Defence Officer in multiple daily and weekly CIS project meetings, give security input, consultation and recommendations pertaining to the sustainment of CIS IA security assurance and risk management.
    ·        Investigate security incidents and initiate action for resolving security incidents (hardcopy, in COTR defined format).
    ·        Coordinate Vulnerability Assessments for HQ SACT CIS and subordinate commands.
    ·        Assist in the day-to-day operations of the AOS Technical Centre technicians.
    ·        Provide end-of-work report in December 2009 (hardcopy, in COTR defined format).
     
    Minimum Experience for role
    ·        National SECRET security clearance with the ability to gain and maintain a NATO SECRET clearance.
    ·        Within the past 5 years, working knowledge of NATO organization, structures, processes.
    ·        2 years (within the past 5 years) detailed knowledge of information assurance certification and accreditation processes. Two years experience (within the past 5 years) in performing certification and accreditation tasks in operational network environments
    ·        2 years (within the past 5 years) experience working with LAN/WAN network services such as firewalls, DMZ’s, routers, Active Directory, intrusion detection systems (IDS), configuration and maintenance, network monitoring and protocol traffic management
    ·        Current Professional Security certification (ISC2, SANS, etc).
    ·        2 years (within the past 5 years) experience working in a hierarchical organization and/or a joint military organization
    ·        Working knowledge of current Microsoft Office Suite (word processing/graphics presentation/spreadsheet, database applications)
    ·        Excellent oral and written communication skills
    ·        Fluent in English
    ·        Possess a valid passport and be able to travel to Europe and throughout North America, as required
     
    Education.
    BA/MS degree or international equivalent in Computer Science or related field. Degree requirement waived with documented 5 years within past 7 years experience in Information Security Management (relating to security accreditation, risk management, and vulnerability assessments.)
     
    For this role you will be working as a Self employed contractor and you will be responsible for all your own Tax issues and food and accommodation while working at the principle site in Norfolk, but when you are visiting other sites,

    For this role, applications are being actively sought from individuals based in the US who are able to relocate themselves to Norfolk.
