Welcome to the Navy Net aka Rum Ration

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial RN website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. The previous thread was removed, after it descended into behaviour wholly inappropriate to a thread of condolence.

    To repeat the message.

Please restrict your comments to condolences only. As in the past, members of the Regiment and the families of the fallen will be reading this thread.

Please let them find nothing but our heartfelt condolences for our friends and colleagues.

Please use this thread for condolences only.

The recriminations and anger can wait till another day.

  2. RIP - though and prayers with the family and friends of all three. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to those injured.
  3. My deepest condolences to the families and friends of those who died today. R.I.P guys, you did your duty!
  4. My sincere condolences my thought are with their family and friends.
  5. Heartfelt sympathies and condolences to all the families. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.
  6. R.I.P.

    You came upon this Earth,
    A Joy to your Family...
    A Blessing to Humanity.
    You lived here among us,
    Honoring us by your Presence.
    Full of Life____
Everyday - doing what must be done.
Laughing, crying, in sorrow and in joy,
Fulfilling your Duty to be Human.
When Duty to your Country called
    You answered...
    With Body, Mind and Spirit.
    You went from us...
    To return in Body only.
It is now our Duty to Honor You.
  7. Sincerest condolences to all their families.
  8. Extremely bad news and my thoughts are with the families at this time. God Bless em all.
  9. O eternal Lord God, who alone spreadest out of
    the heavens, and rulest the raging of the sea;
who has compassed the waters with bounds
until day and night come to an end; be pleased
to receive into thy almighty and most gracious
protection the persons of us thy servants and
the fleet in which we serve. Preserve us from
the dangers of the sea, and from the violence of
the enemy; that we may be a safeguard unto our
most gracious sovereign lady, Queen Elizabeth
and her dominions, and security for such as
pass on the seas upon their lawful occasion; that
the inhabitants of our commonwealth may in
peace and quietness serve thee our God; and
that we may return in safety to enjoy the
blessings of the land, with the fruits of our
labours, and with a thankful remembrance of
    thy mercies to praise and glorify thy holy name;
    through Jesus Christ our lord.

not quite- but thoughts with families xx
  10. Rest In peace guys.
  11. R.I.P
They will never be forgotten and may the families of all the fallen take comfort that they have the support of the largest family in the UK. Hope the lads who are injured make a speedy recovery
  12. R.I.P, god bless you and your families during this time xx

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
    Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there, I did not die.
  13. RIP to all of the fallen and a speedy recovery to the wounded
  14. Circumstances aside. Remember your lost ones with Pride and Honour. For I will too.
I am bereft at your sad loss. I only hope that time will ease the pain that you must surely be feeling, and let you smile again.
  15. R I P lads thanks for keeping the world a safer place for future generations
  16. My heart felt condolences go to all the families and friends
  17. We will remember them.
  18. RIP My thoughts are with your families
