  1. I have an interest in old age in the electrical propulsion system of the UPHOLDER class , as a follow up to some notes I wrote about the 'T' conversions of the Fifties >>http://rnsubs.co.uk/dits-bits/articles/development/t-conversion.html

    My experience was limited to old style 'A's an 'T' in the early fifties , with double armature motors and the old open sw/boards, yet basically the UPHOLDER class had the same style of motor just bigger and the switch board similar , but all driven by cam shaft motors. What I would like is some of the detail in the propulsion control cubicle . There are pics on the web , but non-show the inside of the large grey cubicle . Any titbits would help .
