Approached for his attitude to the Old and Bold Veterans under his Leadership having to pay for theirs--He was singularly reticent.
That's Brown Jobs for you. He's a former Army captain.

I think you are being a bit hard on MPs. They don't have that much job security, what with General Elections and Cabinet re-shuffles......

They are not compelled to seek this sinecure. Captain Wallace will receive his army pension plus his more than generous M.P.'s pension on top of being well paid for his further pensionable Minister of Defence service plus he can employ his wife and relatives as generously paid personal assistants.
Come off it! They are on a pigs back.

Oh dear. I apologise. It was meant to be humourous. Perhaps I should have mentioned the problems MPs have when claiming allowances for duck houses..... :)
