BTEC for Warfare Officer?

I've been looking at Warfare officer (SM) and the requirements say 180 UCAS points. I was wondering if a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma (Electrical and Electronic Engineering) would be suitable? I'm pretty sure you can get the points, but since it's not A-Levels, would it be looked down upon?
