It's just the one run for you then; the two runs back to back PJFT is for Royal Marines.

Your PJFT is 2.4km within 10 min 30 secs.

Is it not a squad warm-up of 2.4km in 15 mins, followed by best effort for 2.4km?
[G]eneralship is about three things: character, competence, and communication. "So do we select our generals on such criteria? Don't be daft, of course we don't. We pull them up through patronage, misplaced loyalty, self-promotion and a host of other rather tawdry reasons and, occasionally, on ability; but it is not always the brightest and the best that are selected for high office."

Spot on ATG. First 1.5 mile (or 2.4k in new money) is a run/walk (fartlek call it what you want) in under 15 minutes. Two minute rest then 10:30 for the next 1.5 miler. That should be a max though and not a target for a baby diver.

I didn't attend his funeral but wrote a nice letter saying I approved of it.
