PS: A good idea is to take your mum. Kit dhobied, ironed and neatly folded in your locker upon waking up and as Chiefy serves you breakfast in bed and dunks you egg soldiers for you, mum will run your bath to just the right temperature, add your favourite bubble bath/salts and whilst your bathing iron your duvet for you.
I can take my mum to do all that stuff? Wow, why the hell have I been practising that stuff, that wasnt mentioned no the kit list lmao.

as for chain stich, hell no lol

And whilst your training, I will look after your mom and take her for some big eats.

When I was a child I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child.
When I became a man I joined Rum Ration, it was a natural progression.
    But with swearing.

And whilst all this is going on I will be making a fortune offering my needwork skills to baby sailors in return for the key to their beer fridge!

thanks for that scouse, but what I was after more was a step by step guide on getting a shirt to A4, all I can remember is where the buttons need to be at the end and to use the seam going across the back of the shirt ha. If anyone could help it's much appreciated.

There will be a Rum Ration Newbies Workshop held later this year where the Old Hands will crawl out of the rum soaked oak timbers and show the Forum Nozzers how to sew, wash their kit, iron their duvet covers, buff their boots, blanco their gaiters/webbing and most importantly of all, the correct way to drink beer (or anything wet for that matter).

I will start a seperate thread in the Gash Barge seeking volunteers to help out. Location and dates yet to be announced.

Scouse, is your garden big enough for us to erect a tent?

Now Scouse was a member of that wonderful training establishment HMS St Vincent. His needlework was surely a wonder to behold with his name neatly embroidered on his kit.
I'm fairly certain that being a genuine Scouser he would be willing to provide (for an enormous fee) training. :P :P

this is all you need to take the strain out of folding shirts in the prescribed fashion!!
Give a man a fish and he'll feed his family for a day,
teach a man to fish and he'll sit round on a boat all day drinking beer.
