Having just passed my AIB with a good score, I would be happy to answer any questions anyone may have on the process and give an honest insight into the 2 days.
    Welcome to Rum Ration, SUYGolly

Would you like to write a couple of paragraphs about your AIB, mentioning any important points which you think candidates should know? I'm sure that your contribution would be of interest and greatly appreciated.

Jimgallagher, I am currently an instructor within the Royal Naval Submarine School, (have been for just over a year now), and can offer this advice, the selection for BRNC didnt work out for you and you are now joining as a rating. You are then, truly blessed. As instructors within Raleigh, we are always looking for trainees, (at any stage of their initial training), for selection for AIB. All that is required is for the trainee to show the potential, that little spark. If you approach your training with the same tenacity and intensity that you had for AIB preparation then your instructor will see it and put you forward. The process is somewhat more protracted, but as they say, its not over till the fat lady sings!!

    Circus,

Should I re-seed my lawn at the end of Sept and what fertiliser should I use to cover a large area of grass? I'm also thinking about top-dressing but I might ask about that at a later date.

PS: We're in the Antipodes if that affects you answers. Thanks.

    Pontius,

Don't know about you but my Antipode is off the coast of New Zealand... I wish.

As for gardening (wherever in the world that may be) not a clue.

    Hope this helps.
