    Just found http://www.unithistories.com/units_i.../personsx.html - many, many bios of NOs, reservists, etc etc - the site also has a lot of other stuff on it, pongoes, foreigners, all sorts. Good research bran tub.

    They are very quick at filling in the details of "missing "officers.I enquired about a Midshipman last night and the site owner had a full bio on there this morning!
    They bear, in place of classic names,
    Letters and numbers on their skin.
    They play their grisly blindfold games
    In little boxes made of tin.
    Sometimes they stalk the Zeppelin,
    Sometimes they learn where mines are laid,
    Or where the Baltic ice is thin.
    That is the custom of "The Trade."
