    hi there i was wondering if any1 would be able to answer my question, i am wanting to know if i join the nave as a rating am i able to progress to be an officer at a later date?

    Yes you can, there are two routes:

    Upper Yardman, under 26 years of age; Senior Upper Yardman, over 26 years of age and must have been a senior rate for at least 1 year.
