Took me ages to type that as for some reason I appear to be a bit squiffy - must be the bottle of Bombay Blue someone gave me!
    Happy Birthday 'So Bo'!

Amongst the 'other Tosh' it is of some small significant that you share this year's birthday with the 50th Anniversary of the launch of HMS 'Doughnut' by Her Majesty at B-in-Furness.

I'm also surprised that Seafarer, Granny, Stirling and Rummers (you can see him in the picture on the right) haven't jumped in with their eye witness accounts of what happened that day.

I was with Stirl your honour honest.

Whats missing Stirl, was it us?

When I became a man I joined Rum Ration, it was a natural progression.

Did they stop short and call you Hor, or was it that they changed it as you are Nell's son?

    Re: Have You Forgotten?

    Steve,

Aside but on your subject of ‘whores’, I came across a book review, written by an RN Commander 10 years ago, in which he states that Emma H actually produced twins by Lord H N.

Apparently she kept the girl-child, Horatia, but is quoted as having stated that “one was appropriate while two would destabilise the balance of their liaison' she placed one child in the Foundling Hospital.

The Book under Review was NELSON'S WOMEN by TOM POCOCK (Andre Deutsch) ISBN 0 2339 9479 3

Read the Commander’s review of it at page 100 of the pdf file (Page 286 of the original document):
