Ouzo, Grappa and Raki are too vomit inducing to allow me to properly wreck the joint, but I found myself asleep in the open doorway (key in door) one morning after a night on the Bundaberg (aka Chundaberg), any drink that can slay the aussie rugby team is good enough for me. A barman at my local introduced me and a mate to some 'kin horrible aussie white barley wine type shit, obviously couldnt shift it to the regulars, so me, the barman and my mate were drinking halves of it till three liter and a half bottles had gone. Cannot remember the name of it but it was proper trampjuice, since we went clubbing after closing time and woke up in a ditch 2 miles from home at sunrise the next day.

I currently find Plymouth Navy strength fits the bill, I have woken up too pissed to drive on several occasions, and had almost forgotten what a mid afternoon hangover was like until this drink re-entered my life. Bombay just doesn't seem to hurt like Plymouth does.

What ever did happen to Lanliq, once the prefered tipple of the workers in RNAD Coulport on the ferry from Navy Buildings to Kilcreggan.
I guess, being imported from SA, it became a casualty of apatheid sanctions, hence the discerning Jockinese Rubber-Men switched to alternative fine but cheapo vintage wines....

El Dorado from Guyana is possibly the most amazing rum I have ever tasted, if you ever get the chance, try it. Unbelievably smooth, you can drink it like water.

Waitrose sell it at a ridiculously overpriced rate. You can get a 70cl bottle of the 5 year one for £14 as opposed to about $5US in Guyana and the rest of the Caribbean.

The 15 year and 21 year old are serious treats but at £40 and £70 a bottle respectively (the Whiskey Exchange) they are not for everyday sippage.

Honestly it is worth the trip to Guyana just for a sniff of the stuff.

One cannot begin to fathom the immensity of the fuck I do not give.
