Balanced in the favour of having to operate with the armed forces of the EU and no longer being able to do anything unilaterally.

    That kind of balanced.

Is that balanced as in "the car was precariously balanced on the cliff edge after the driver had apparently lost control of it..."?
... of course I could be wrong; I was once ... when I said I could be wrong!

Balanced as in "you've got 15 billion to spend so don't come asking for any fancy kit that will take us over that spending limit" The next lot of Tridents are looking very shakey.

To all of you presently serving in the RN: What's morale like in an Incredible Shrinking Navy?

In my time, 52 - 66, the RN got a lot smaller but even when I left we still had seven carriers, 31 destroyers and 81 frigates. (I've checked in a '95 Janes Fighting Ships). Quite a few were in reserve but even then.

Wait until that nice Mr Putin gets his feet back under the table. Then we might see how well ballanced the budget is against reality.

Unfortunately, I suspect that the very nice and not at all threatening (honest) Mr Putin will be subjet to one of these.....Somebody Else's Problem field - Hitchhikers
