    There's a really simple solution to this: If a service person gets abused by a member of the public, we should have the right to remove them from the gene pool by any means necessary.

    I recall attending a lecture and some reggy was stood on stage informing us that the Navy doesn't recruit numpties.

    I must have attended the same lecture!!!! In my case he went on to add, "we send them to the Army where they are regarded as an asset and frequently get promoted to the General Staff"
